Changing With The Weather

A big change of plans today due to the weather. I was supposed to be teaching Mel how to use her Lee filters, but due to the poor light and cloud cover, we had to adapt and change our plans.

we ended up in one of my faveourite locations shooting exotic duck, geese and gulls. We were very lucky today and saw some excellent examples of waterbirds.

Just a few of the species from today :-

Shellducks (Tadorna Tadorna)

Ruddy Shelducks (Tadorna Ferruginea)

Smew (Mergus albellus)

Pochard (Aythya ferina)

But the species I was most please to see as I had never seen one in the wild before was a snow goose (Chen caerulescens)

We had a great time, learnt a lot and Mel got some great shots.
