Mobile Phone Photography

Still catching up with my news. I recently entered the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC) Mobile phone exhibition. There were 126 entries in total which were judged by Gordon Brown ARPS.

I am very pleased to say that I was awarded best image in the exhibition.

The above picture was taken on Lake kerkini in Greece and features 3 Dalmatian Pelicans. These birds are cool and quicky and a joy to photograph. This shot was taken on my Galaxy Note 8 and then edited in Lightroom to just even out the lighting a little.

Mobile phone photography continues to evolve and grow as the technology improves and the capabilities of the latest devices expands with new hardware and software features. The addition of multiple cameras gives more choice of point of view and framing of the images you take when you use the wide angle or telephoto lenses.

Taking pictures with mobile phones does require the same thought and planning as taking the image on a mirrorless or DSLR camera. Considering composition, exposure, framing, point of view, and choice of subject are all exactly the same.
